    The local community built a new residence for the priest (plebania) next to the church in the early 1940s. The wooden building was constructed according to a typical design of the time (in neighbouring Pidhorodtsi, such a building still serves as the residence of the pastor). The building was originally covered with a ceramic roof and had a wooden porch at the entrance.

    The building served as a priest’s home only for the first 20 years of its existence. After the church closed, the priest left the village, and school premises and a library were located in the plebania building.
    Споруда слугувала житлом священика лише перші 20 років свого існування. Після закриття церкви священик залишив село, у будівлі плебанії розмістили шкільні приміщення та бібліотеку.

    An obelisk to the victims of the Great Patriotic War was erected on the road next to the plebania in the 1960s. Later, in 2005, it was turned into a monument to the Fighters for the Freedom of Ukraine on the occasion of the 440th anniversary of the village.
    Поруч із плебанією, при дорозі в 1960-х роках встановили обеліск полеглим у «Великій Вітчизняній Війні». Пізніше, у 2005 році, з нагоди 440-го ювілею села його перетворено на пам’ятник Борцям за волю України.

    During the 1980s and early 1990s, the plebania housed a shop with a sewing workshop. After the construction of a new store in the village, the plebania began to be adapted into a museum.  
    Протягом 1980-х — початку 1990-х в будівлі плебанії розташовувалась крамниця із швейною майстернею. Після побудови в селі нової крамниці плебанію почали пристосовувати під музей.

    The Tustan Museum has been located in the building since 1997, which has made it the most visited building in the village and its surroundings. Tens of thousands of tourists visit the exhibition every year. Great merit in the creation belongs to the first director of the museum Roman Semenovych Shchur and Tustan researcher Mykhaylo Fedorovych Rozhko. The exposition of the museum presents the history of research of the Tustan fortress, archaeological finds, models and graphic reconstructions of the fortress, a room with reconstructions of the 13th century interiors.     Від 1997 року і донині в будинку розташований Музей Тустані, що зробило його найбільш відвідуваною спорудою села та околиці. Щорічно експозицію відвідують десятки тисяч туристів. Велика заслуга в створенні належить першому директорові музею Романові Семеновичу Щуру та досліднику Тустані Михайлові Федоровичу Рожку. В експозиції музею представлено історію досліджень фортеці Тустань, археологічні знахідки, макети та графічні реконструкції фортеці, облаштовано кімнату з реконструкціями інтер’єрів ХІІІ століття. Тут можна переглянути відеопродукцію заповідника, отримати туристичну інформацію.
