The inner courtyard was entered through a drawbridge with a gate tower. Archaeologists discovered pillar pits from the wooden platform-ramp leading to the gate in front of Malyi Kamin. To the left of the gate was an artificially created gate - for the daily use of foot soldiers of the garrison. It was framed by wooden doors. The traces of cuts are still visible on the rocks in the narrow passage. Later, the gate was also reinforced with stone masonry. | |||
